Partizanska bolnica Franja je bila zgrajena med 2. svetovno vojno, blizu vasi Dolenji Novaki pri Cerknem. Leži na nadmorski višini 563m v težko dostopni soteski Pasice. Delovati je začela 23. decembra 1943, vse do 5. maja 1945, ko so zadnji ranjenci in osebje zapustili bolnišnico in sotesko. Poimenovana je bila po dr. Franji Bojc Bidovec, glavni zdravnici. Bolnišnica je nudila pomoč in oskrbo ranjencem, to so bili Partizani, Italijani, Francozi, Rusi, Poljaki, ter dva Američana in dva Avstrijca, kar nakazuje na spoštovanje Ženevske konvencije. Kljub dobri »kamuflaži« je bila bolnica s strani okupatorja napadena dvakrat. Prvi napad se je zgodil aprila 1944, ranjenci in osebje so se umaknili ter se po nekaj mesecih ponovno naselili. Po napadu je delovala vse do osvoboditve, čeprav je bila 24. marca 1945 ponovno napadena.
